Spinal Cord Injuries are life changing. A sudden accident resulting in paralysis turns your world upside down and inside out. Because injuries and illnesses often occur after you have been "healthy," adjusting to a new way of doing everything can be overwhelming, frustrating and scary for you, caregivers, friends and loved ones.

Because Tighten the Drag Foundation BELIEVES that there is a SUCCESS story waiting for everyone who has experienced an SCI, we are here to offer support and assistance to enable you and the loved ones who care for, and about you,  relief and HOPE and improved quality of life after injury.

Non traditional rehabilitative therapy costs that provide nerve stimulation, muscle memory techniques and overall health and fitness average $3000-$4000 a month; $36,000-$48,000 a year.  We KNOW how important this therapy is for recovery and that is why we fundraise year round in order to provide Evaluation Scholarships and seek Corporate Therapy Sponsors so that recipients who desire to attend therapy programs can have the chance to do so. We also encourage every person who is injured to return to doing the things they enjoyed before their accidents as soon as possible and scholarships are available for enrollment in adaptive sports programs, recreational activities, and new adventures. We are here to ease the burden after injury by providing help with adaptive equipment needs and medical needs not covered by insurance that promote good health and well being and items that can just make life easier for you.

We are here to help the children of injured parents, the parents of injured children, siblings, grandparents and spouses who are on this journey with you.
